Sale-a-Bration Class for January...

Hi all

I cannot tell you how excited I was for the first class of 2015 - it seems like forever over the Christmas/New Year break.  I decided to treat my ladies to a class using a selection of the products available during Sale-a-Bration as I personally think it is much nicer to see the products in the flesh and have a play than simply browsing a catalogue.

I therefore decided to create the class around the beautiful Irresistibly Yours papers available for free when you spend £45 during the Sale-a-Bration promotion, along with a selection of stamp sets from the Sale-a-Bration brochure and the new Spring/Summer brochure.  You can see both of these catalogues for yourself by clicking on the catalogues in the right hand panel.

I started off with a project to create an 'Emergency Card Box'.  I thought this would be a great gift for somebody, a box filled with a selection of those cards that we all sometimes need in a hurry.

So, here is the box, it is made from Soft Sky card and the leaves background paper has been brayered in Soft Sky.

The first card was a thank you card using the lovely Lotus Blossom stamp set.  I love this stamp set and it looks great for so many occasions and in so many lovely colours.  For this one I chose the star background paper and brayered it in Pink Pirouette.

The next was a new home card and for this I used the You Brighten My Day stamp set and chose the dotty background brayered in Marina Mist.

The next was a You're the Best card which could be used for many occasions and for this I chose the Best Day Ever stamp set.

How cute is that?

The next was a Sympathy card also using the Lotus Blossom stamp set which shows how versatile it can be.  I chose the scallop background paper for this, watercoloured in graduating So Saffron.

Next I made a wedding card using the lovely set from the new Spring/Summer catalogue called Your Perfect Day and used the flower background paper but this time left it is its original white form.  You can just about see it.  (You can tell why I love these papers if you just look at my lounge wallpaper in the background lol!)

And finally, the sixth card was made using the Big Day stamp set and this time I chose the diagonal background paper, coloured in Pear Pizzazz.

A busy class but a really nice way to get to play with lots of the new goodies available.

I have listed below the items I used to make these projects for your convenience.

Really enjoyed class. Felt super chilled when I got home - it's so relaxing at craft club.
I did particularly like the wedding card I have to say. But they are all lovely. Roll on next Saturday and the Stampin sanctuary! :-)
